What to bring to your tax visit
Find your service and print the list. Bring everything in one folder. Please don't email or upload tax documents. Bring them to the office.

Personal tax return
- Photo ID for you and your spouse
- Social Security cards or ITIN letters for everyone on the return
- Dates of birth for everyone on the return
- W-2 forms from every job
- 1099 forms: 1099-NEC, 1099-K, 1099-INT, 1099-G and any others you received
- Form 1095-A, if you had health insurance through the Marketplace
- Your childcare provider's name, address, tax ID and the amount you paid them
- Mortgage interest statement (Form 1098) and property tax records, if you own a home
- Last year's tax return
- Bank routing and account number for direct deposit
- Any letters from the IRS this year
Business tax return
- EIN letter and formation documents
- Last year's business and personal returns
- Bank and credit card statements for the whole year
- Sales records and the 1099-K and 1099-NEC forms you received
- Receipts or records of business expenses
- Vehicle mileage log, if you drive for the business
- Payroll reports, if you have employees
- Records of estimated tax payments you made
- Loan statements and records of equipment you bought
Bookkeeping
- Bank and credit card statements
- Sales records and invoices
- Receipts or records of business expenses
- A list of your business accounts and loans
- Last year's business tax return
Tax planning
- Last year's tax return
- Pay stubs or your income so far this year
- Your business profit and loss for the year so far
- Records of estimated payments already made
- Notes on big changes this year: a new business, a marriage, a baby, a home
An IRS letter
- The letter, every page
- Any earlier letters about the same issue
- The tax return the letter refers to
- The forms or records the letter asks for
- Photo ID
