Don't set it aside

Every IRS letter has a date on it.

Most IRS letters ask for something by a date printed on the letter. That might be a missing form, a payment, or an answer to a change the IRS made to your return. Answering on time keeps your options open. Waiting usually adds penalties and interest.

FAQ

Questions about IRS letters

The IRS says I owe money I can't pay. What now?

You still need to answer by the date on the letter. The IRS offers payment plans, and we help you request one.

I haven't filed in years. Is it too late?

No. Start by filing the missing returns. We work with you to get the forms you need for each year.

How do I know a letter is really from the IRS?

The IRS usually makes first contact by mail, not by text message or social media. If you're unsure about a letter, bring it in. We'll look at it with you.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk in with the letter during office hours: Monday to Friday 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM.

Come by the office.

3021 Bachman Dr #102, Dallas. Monday to Saturday, no appointment needed.
